3 Ways to Keep your Website Current

February 13, 2019 Design Interventions No comments yet

It’s important to keep your customers engaged in your website.

One way to do that is to have fresh content on your site. Your customers and potential customers will find new things to look at, read, research and know about you and your company. Google also rewards you for updated content on your website.

Here are 3 easy ways to keep your site current.

  • Weekly blog similar to this one that you’re reading now. A blog is full of new information and links to important content on your website. This is a way not only to add to your content but to set you apart as an expert in your field.
  • Update your content yourself In an ideal world you should know how to update your website and feel comfortable doing so. After all it’s your website. Your website design company should be able to – in fact they should automatically – show you how to update your site and train you until you are comfortable doing so. That way you can make changes on your time when you want to.
  • Have your design company update your site. Many businesses don’t have the time to update their website. They prefer to hire someone to do it. This is great! But if this is your intent, then do your homework when you’re shopping for a design company. Be sure to ask what their update process is, how long a normal request will take and pricing for updates. You may also want to know how often they bill – I heard horror stories of a company that would bill after each update causing the client to pay bits and pieces each week. A standard practice is to accrue the hours and bill once a month – but it’s up to you to make sure that’s how you’ll be billed.

Your website is a work in progress. It’s your first impression to your customers and potential customers. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to make a great first impression. For more information please give us a call 910 200-33676.
